Laura Roebuck

Biography

Laura Roebuck is a mixed media artist from Lookout Mountain, Georgia. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of Georgia in 2006. Lollie – as she is known to her friends and family – has nurtured a curiosity and delight for nature since she was a child.

Her work is like being alone in the woods at magic hour. In the suspension of light, the abstraction of detail, and the blurry diffusion of color, her paintings are visual meditations on the land in which she shares with her family. These fragments of her natural world come together to create an abstract caught somewhere between awe and grace.
