Anne Abueva grew up in Chicago, IL and currently works in Charleston, SC. Guided by curiosity, emotion and ruthless editing, her painting process is a balance of freedom and refinement. Each mark arises from a visual tug-of-war between instinct and intention. Anne’s paintings pull from a rich tapestry of shifting landscapes and inner worlds, inviting viewers to experience their own introspective journey right alongside her. Unbound by conventional styles or themes, she creates freely and fearlessly, staying open to new possibilities with every piece.
