Emily Cruthirds

Biography

Emily Cruthirds is a Houston native and self-taught artist whose creative roots span generations, from a great-grandmother known for her porcelain painting to a grandmother who worked in watercolor. After earning a degree in Finance from Texas A&M University, she began her creative career through jewelry design before returning to her first love: painting.

Drawing inspiration from the natural world, Emily creates contemporary works that explore the relationship between structure and spontaneity, realism and abstraction. Working across mediums including water marbling, acrylics, oils, and woodworking, she creates pieces that celebrate movement, beauty, and the rhythms of nature.

Emily lives in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband, Drew, and their three children, Liam, Isla, and Colette.
